As the only party organised throughout the 32 counties, and with elected representation at all levels of democracy in Ireland, we are working to make Irish unity a reality in our lifetime.
Preparing for Irish Unity
As the only party organised throughout the 32 counties, and with elected representation at all levels of democracy in Ireland, we are working to make Irish unity a reality in our lifetime.
We are the only party with a strategy and policies for achieving Irish unity and independence. We are the only party that people can vote for whether they live in Derry, Kerry, Wexford or Antrim. We are the only party bringing a distinctly republican and socialist analysis into the heart of Irish politics.
We have placed the development of all-Ireland structures and the demand for reunification at the top of our political agenda.
Throughout the peace process we have consistently urged an island-wide approach in key policy areas.
We have given practical expression to this through the work of our Ministers in the Executive and the all-Ireland Ministerial Council.
In the Dáil and the Assembly, Sinn Féin representatives have continuously pressed the need to sustain and develop the all-Ireland approach enshrined in the Good Friday Agreement.
Sinn Féin's priorities are:
Preparation and publication of a Green Paper on Irish unity by the Irish government;
A broad campaign alongside other political parties, campaign groups, trade unions and other interested sections of our society in creating an Alliance for Irish Unity;
Expanding the island wide approach in key policy areas including the economy, health, employment, agriculture and tourism;
Expansion of the areas of co-operation under the North South Ministerial Council;
Representation in the Dáil and Seanad for Irish citizens living in the north of Ireland;
Engaging with unionism about the nature and form a new united Ireland will take.
By planning for Irish unity and by demonstrating that unification can lead to a better society for all the people of this island, nationalists will go far towards persuading many unionists that they can have a secure future in a new, united Ireland.

Sinn Féin is committed to creating environmental standards on a co-ordinated island-wide basis.
We are committed to the principle of sustainable development. We believe that all economic activity and policy decisions should be environmentally proofed to ensure no needless damage is inflicted to an island environment already under severe pressure from unnecessary pollution and inefficient waste management strategies. Sinn Féin will work for:-
Devolution of powers over the quality of life to local authorities, including the financial means to fulfil responsibilities;
Involvement of all interested groups in the planning and implementation of policy;
Local authorities to co-operate with others on an all-Ireland basis to develop environmental policies.

Do yous even read these documents or just accept them because they from the party,
" the only party organised throughout the 32 counties, and with elected representation at all levels of democracy in Ireland,"
PSF are not the only party organised throughout the 32 counties, please stop lying.
"elected representation at all levels of democracy in Ireland"
Come on please the british stormont government is not democracy! its powersharing.
"We are the only party with a strategy and policies for achieving Irish unity and independence"
everyone is critising RSF for being elitest, PSF are not the only party with a stradgey and polices for achieving Irish unity and independance.
A statement like that shows what yous think of the other Irish Republican groups pushing for independance.
A bit of truth,
"We are the only party that people can vote for whether they live in Derry, Kerry, Wexford or Antrim. We are the only party bringing a distinctly republican and socialist analysis into the heart of Irish politics."
Stormont is part of British politics tho, so bringing a distinctly republican and socialist analysis into the heart of Irish and british politics.
"We have placed the development of all-Ireland structures and the demand for reunification at the top of our political agenda."
I believe that , even if those all ireland structures consist of forums between the british occupation government in the north and the Irish government in the south. Are these all ireland structures not at the top of the agenda of the other Irish Republican groups.
"Throughout the peace process we have consistently urged an island-wide approach in key policy areas."
I think this is a fair statement.
"We have given practical expression to this through the work of our Ministers in the Executive and the all-Ireland Ministerial Council."
The semantics of spin, in my opinion i read that statement as,
we have worked at this through our paid british officials ( Ministers ) in the occupation government and in the cross border forum.
"In the Dáil and the Assembly, Sinn Féin representatives have continuously pressed the need to sustain and develop the all-Ireland approach enshrined in the Good Friday Agreement."
to me i read that statement as.
In the free state government and the occupation government at Stormont, PSF representatives have always stresed the need to build and develop and all Ireland approach documented in the GFA.
"A broad campaign alongside other political parties, campaign groups, trade unions and other interested sections of our society in creating an Alliance for Irish Unity"
It seems that by moving to a position of working within both governments north and south that now you are able to build an alliance for Irish Unity, how can this be achieved when other Irish Republican groups are opposed to PSF position. We can hardley get unity amongst Irish Republicans how do you expect to get any sort of an alliance for Irish unity.
"Expanding the island wide approach in key policy areas including the economy, health, employment, agriculture and tourism;"
Expanding , economy, health , employment so were talking about expanding the current exsisting structures to encompass and island wide approach.
" Representation in the Dáil and Seanad for Irish citizens living in the north of Ireland"
very nice sounds good fooling the people into accepting the current structures, when the sate of NI is illegal and the free state governement is a product of the british.
"Engaging with unionism about the nature and form a new united Ireland will take."
One of the best statements of the document. Engagement with unionists, essential i think for a United Ireland, thats going well I see in the occupation government I have seen more gaelic in a local government in scotland than i have in the north of ireland.
"By planning for Irish unity and by demonstrating that unification can lead to a better society for all the people of this island, nationalists will go far towards persuading many unionists that they can have a secure future in a new, united Ireland."
"nationalists will go far" I thought that PSF were Republicans and the SDLP were nationalist.
