I have recently started a project at school on the Government of Ireland. I have been researching on various sites but I can't quite get the exact information in a soimple and understandable way.
If anyone can help me answer ANY of the questions below, I would be very grateful.

1)What form of Government, in proper/technical terms, does Ireland have?
2)What is the structure of the Government? (Including titles of its leaders)
3)What powers are the government given by the constitution?
4)What powers are the government denied by the constitution?
5)What is contained in the Bill of Rights in Ireland?
6)Who, specifically, controls the military force?
7) How has the Government changed since Ireland's independence?

Thanks

Google "irish government". The first site provides heaps of useful information, eg: within two mouse clicks you’ll get the Constitution of Ireland. This of course assumes you are interested in the Republic of Ireland, not the 6 counties.

Thanks, but I am struggling to find anything else that is of use on that site. I have been on it before, and the constitution is all i can find.

For the history of the Irish Government, all the information I can find is very complicated. If anyone can tell me specifically about the development of the Irish Government since 1600, or independance, I would be very grateful.

This project is due on Thursday, its the one that decides if I pass, please help!:eusa_dance:

Look at Wikipedia under "Republic of Ireland". Very good entries, including on government. Easy to read. I'm sure you will be able to find some good material to answer the questions.

My advice, just keep your answers clear and simple.

Good luck.

I've already looked at these two sites, so I got the information I could from them. I need to make a 10 - 15 minutes presentation so those two sites alone don't have neough information alone.
Thanks for the useful website, but they don't have any information on the development of the Irish government asince its independence.
