Protest in Dublin for Repatriation of Noel Maguire
A cairde
There will be a protest outside the
Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform
94 St. Stephen's Green,
Dublin 2
On the 26th May to highlight the continued refusal of the Irish Government to repatriate Noel Maguire home as is his right as an Irish Citizen this protest will coincide with others in London and abroad. We need to show the 26 County Government that we will not give up this fight until Noel is returned home to his family. We need the assistance of fair minded people who see the treatment of Noel as wrong and wish to help bring this young man home
The protest will commence on the Saturday 26th May around 2.30pm until about 4.30, we are asking all concerned Republicans to show support for Noel by attending this event. This is one of those events that all Republicans regardless of their affiliation can support as Noel is a Republican prisoner; he is yet another Miscarriage of Justice by the British System and his treatment by the 26 County Government is appalling.
The treatment meted out to this man is both inhumane and degrading and cannot be ignored as the consequences are very serious. We would encourage groups, organizations and individual Republicans to put all the talk of coming together into practice as this case epitomizes how uniting can be a positive thing and send word to our common enemies that we are not going away and will become stronger by our ability to work with other likeminded Republicans when the goals require it
For those that cannot attend the protest if they could phone the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform on: 1890 221 227 and express their concern for Noel and the refusal of the government to repatriate him home as is his right as an Irish Citizen.
Go raibh maith agaibh
Support All Irish Political Prisoners
P/S it has been decided that no one group will be associated with organising this protest as this often leads to recriminations so it is a Republican protest in support of one of their own!, It is something all Republican can and should support.
