Crossmaglen RUC meeting promotes British rule in Ireland.
26 Lúnasa/August 2007
What Conor Murphy has described as a “critical engagement” with the RUC in Crossmaglen has more typically been described as an act of collaboration with the British Crown Forces. Whilst last Friday's meeting was billed as a response to criminality in the South Armagh area, the simple fact remains that the greatest crime perpetrated against the Irish people is the ongoing British Occupation.
Whilst Mr. Murphy and his party continue to prove their pro-British credentials, the Irish people continue to suffer what James Connolly described as a “crime against human progress”. Those who occupied the local GAA pitch for many years have only ever demonstrated bad faith with the community in Cross and further afield. Whilst spy-posts may have been removed in South Armagh, technological advances had long rendered them obsolete. Furthermore, the Provos' new role as cheerleaders for the British Colonial Police – themselves attempting a charm offensive – is designed to create human intelligence assets in defence of English rule in Ireland.
The people of Crossmaglen, and indeed throughout Ireland, must now reject the arrogance and duplicity of the Provos, and join with Republican Sinn Féin to create a New Ireland – free from all foreign interference – as outlined in our ÉIRE NUA policy document.
