In my opinion the US will attack Iran. When they went into Iraq it was not all about oil or toppeling Saddam Hussein even though this was a part of it. It was about extending the US empire and ensuring their hegemony and control over the middle east. However Iraq and Afganistan has had somewhat of the opposite effect in that these were two enemies of Iran and Iran is now in a much stronger position in the region. So if the US want to achieve their imperialist ambitions there is definetly a tendency towards war with Iran.

Of course they would win the yanks have a fearsome "Conventional war machine"
But that is their main problem, everyone they fight and are going to fight will be fighting IRA style "hit and run" eventually!
Iran will fight the yanks face to face for a long time untill they go into the next phase of guerilla war (and get called terrorists by the worlds media for defending their land)
They have around 100,000 people in their volunteer shahid (holy warrior) brigade who supposedly have people allready outside Iran ready to blow themselves up when amerikkka attacks

Then of course they would probably face another insurgency.I'm not so sure unless theres a withdrawal from Iraq beforehand and/or another major attack within the country. The conventional forces are overstretched as it is and I think an invasion and occupation of Iran would not only be a military disaster 10x bigger than Iraq but also (hopefully) cause civil unrest here at home and I don't believe they would be willing to take that risk.

I could see some collaboration between the left and right-ends of the ruling class to make this happen, the neoliberal imperialist like Obama and Hilldog have already signified their willingness to strike Iran and unfortunately they would have a lot of pull with the "mainstream" liberal drones who don't have any real outlook on geopolitics other than being anti-Bush/Cheney and blindly placing their trust in the "Democratic Party".

Do you condone the use of suicide bombings?

They used to have a mural on the international wall on the falls there, its been painted over since, but i thought it contained a brillaint message, cant remember it word for word but it went something like "we cant seek regieme change if the US attack Iran" with a painting of an Iranian woman with a placard protesting the Iranian government about womens rights? Attacking Iran is only going to make the middle eastern arabs more bitter towards the west. Something with i wouldnt like to be associated with. Im not really sure on how intense the atmosphere is between the US and Iran at the moment by im aware Iran has been in a state of readyness since the Iraq war. America may have the latest bomb with flashing lights etc etc and Iran may have only polished up their old soviet equipment a bit, but with the vast numbers of Iranian forces totaling over 700,000 (inculding revolutionary guard) men at arms american dont even stand a chance. However, we must also consider Israeli intervention. Maybe if Iran did design a weapon of State defence (aka in the west 'mass destruction') larger imperial nations wouldnt be as keen on marching on Iranian soil.

The point has been ignored altogether. Jackeen made a post questioning an individual if he denied that Sinn Féin (P) encourages people to inform on Republicans and whichever form of resistance that may take. We've already seen this throughout the country, it's a form of collaboration no matter what stamp people want to put on it.

It's the right of the RIRA to bear arms and while I believe there's no conditions for armed struggle at present, any Republican would refuse to encourage the populace to go to the police regarding Republican activity.
