Friends of Sinn Féin was set up in 1995 and is the party's international support network. It is the organisation through which people outside Ireland can channel support for our party and its policies.
The dedicated support of people throughout the world was vital in establishing the peace process in the early 1990s and remains important both in delivering on the Good Friday Agreement and in bringing us closer to our goal of a united Ireland. In this section you will find information about Friends of Sinn Féin US, Canada, Australia and the rest of the world.

I`ve always wondered what international members can do with their membership. I believe that many people are in a more or less solitude with their membership in their country. Is it all about sending little money and getting a membership card? Feel free to contact me with private message...

Is it right the FOSF have now set up in Britain, I know that before it just came under Cairde SF. If that is right, does anyone know how to set up your own FOSF Cumann?
Thanks in advance

FOSF in America is alot different than in other parts of the world. Their objective is fundrasing, holding meetings, dinners, dances etc. There are not per se a membership organization, you are placed on a call out list and when a function is scheduled they send out a letter informing you of the event etc.
Membership oganizations in America are the IAUC and Noraid, both are more on the polical side through active lobbying in congress, holding campaigns, fundraisers, generally keeping people abreast and active in what is happening here. While I like Noraid I found the IAUC more to my liking, both are excellent groups that do work hard for a united Ireland.
