PRISON PROTEST TO BE HELD ON FALLS ROAD

The Republican Prisoners' Action Group (RPAG) will be holding a white-line picket on the Falls Road in Belfast on Saturday, 8th December, commencing at 1:30p.m. The picket is in support of the demands of Republican PoWs in Maghaberry Gaol for full PoW Status. A rally will follow outside the Belfast Office of Republican Sinn Féin on the Falls Road.

Republican PoWs in Maghaberry Gaol were engaged in protest action for more than ten months before agreeing a temporary suspension of their protest at the beginning of May. Their demands have not yet been met, and the RPAG urges the public to show their support for the restoration of full political status.

Dispite the pouring rain an cutting winds there was a very gud turn out on saturday. the weather didnt dampin the spirts of the men an women on the white line. I wud question however y more members did not turn out as if we r to increase our activities to highlight the situation in the prision then there sud b a greater turnout from members. all in all tho we got a gud response an all money is to b donated to cabhair. i hope to see greater numbers in the new year an also at the upcoming commerations. word of note, a commeration is to b held in Co. Monaghan on the 13th for Vol. Fergal O' Hanlon.
