members of provisional sinn fein have said the struggle for the last 30 years was simply for eqaulity this is not as suprising at it should be coming from provisional sinn fein which where largly northern based through there history,it is worth reflecting on the history of sinn fein from the beginning which was largely southern based,i believe a lot but not all volunteers from northern ireland may have joined the I.R.A for the wrong reasons such as just to protect there community as opposed to uniting ireland im not saying nationalist communitys should not be protected i believe they should be but the I.R.A exists for one purpose to unite ireland when things are looked at in this sense it is not suprising gerry and his cronys accepted the queens money as soon as things quitened down, because traditionaly the I.R.A and republicanism was predominintly filled with people from the south of ireland before the troubles in the north started,it appears now that gerry and martin have eqaul rights and eqaul money to there british counter parts they are quite happy to follow the route of british appeasement and administer british rule in Ireland which can lead me to think there fight was never realy for irish freedom but more of a selfish fight for self gain

i am not "northy bashing" some of the most inspirational republicans have come from north of the illegal border but this is an issue worth examining
