I reckon the quality of threads has gone down, due to people intent on dragging them off topic, sometimes to simply provoke people into disputes and so on. I suggest more moderators are taken on... i suppose with more members joiining up and that there, more moderators would make sure thread quality is held.

What do you think?

Good idea I think. More moderators and also a tightening up of the rules.

I'd say allow users to nominate, and discuss between mods and that, after that I don't know.

I'm not sure if more moderators are needed, however, we'll see what happens.

more moderators. good idea. if you have good debate you will have more contributers. no one want s to get involved in slagging matches between members. just try to keep balance of group representation.

I think that's demostrated with the professional team that we currently have. They do a fine job, and a 100% balance is maintained in all decisions made by us. The moderators and admins alike are a credit to the forum.

I am a pain in the hole for Admin and Mods, and as the resident pain in the Arse I have to say it is extremely Professional and impartial here especially of late (speacial praise to Mellows and Admin...Although my paranoia sometimes states other wise lol)
For Admin and Mods at the Mo I think they're doing as good a Job as can be done....Is there any need for change?

Kind words, thanks a lot. I don't think there is need for more moderators, but it's open to the staff as a whole.

I nominate mac_talla. I think she would be excellent, and she's on a different time zone like me, so she could cover the 'night shift' LOL! Seriously, she would be fair and a very good mod! (Hope you don't mind me nominating you mac_talla)!:)

Will people please use the http://www.irishrepublican.net/forum/images/mistystyle/buttons/report.gif on any posts they feel break the forum rules. this immediatley reports the post to the mod team allowing us to check it out. Thus avoiding instances where people are shouting "where are the mods".

We cant be everywhere ;)
