The 36th anniversary of Bloody Sunday was marked by thousands in Derry on Sunday 4th February.

On January 30th 1972 the notorious British parachute regiment murdered 14 innocent civil rights marchers in Derry and injured many more. The shootings on Bloody Sunday took place against the backdrop of an anti internment march.

As Derry awaits the outcome of the Saville inquiry thousands of people assembled outside the Creggan shops to take part in the 36th annual parade. Many Ógra members attended the march. Doire Ógra Shinn Féin had hosted a weekend previous to the march and many Ógra members were in attendance.

I'm so glad to hear that our Republican youth are doing something so respectful, peaceful but powerful! Makes all the difference to hear that by standing in solidarity can mean its done without threats and violence. You all should be proud, you did a fine job! Glad to hear this will be an annual event until the "truth is told". Although there are some, on this forum whom seem to think OSF are a bunch of hooligans! Glad to prove them wrong!
